  I have to think the 1-star comments are crackpots. We've been DL campers for 18-19 years - from when the kids were little and on into grandchildren. It was the first campground we tried when we moved here from LA. We've never gone anywhere else, even though it's 2.5 hrs away while Catskills are just over an hr. Pristine facilities. Wooded campsites. Clear, clean water with plenty of fish. Excellent hike around the property. Fun family events throughout the summer. Seasoned wood that makes for easy fires. 5 years ago we switched from tent camping and became seasonal. We leave a pop-up on our site year-round. They have rules they expect to be followed. Unless you're a jerk or one of those "special" people, the rules are easy to understand. They're for your safety and the protection of the environment. As for the management . . . a campground is not a 5-star hotel. But these folks work hard, and they do a great job accommodating people. If you're headed for Adirondacks, camp or cabin, this is the place. Easy to get to all attractions.
